When cold, it runs fine under load, however the idle is rough, and the economy gauge is erratic, as the rpms fluctuate until the engine is warm. WebDec 16, 2014 · Here are the symptoms: First start in the morning, car starts right up, then RPMs drop. Cars starts to shake. Feels like it's going to die. There's a smell of gasoline. Give it some gas and start driving and it smooths right out. Only happens in the morning on first start-up. The rest of the day it starts up fine.
